Community Cookout Is Coming to Temple Hills Swim Club
Temple Hills Swim Club is bringing the community together for something special.
On Saturday, August 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, join us for the Community Cookout: Artist Showcase & Homeless Donation Drive at Temple Hills Swim Club.
Community Cookout is a family-friendly event centered around music, service, creativity, and meaningful community connection.
The goal is simple: bring people together, showcase local talent, support local businesses and organizations, and use our time together to give back to individuals experiencing homelessness.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout the afternoon, guests can enjoy:
• Live performances from local artists
• DJ sets and an open mic
• Swimming and the Temple Hills Swim Club experience
• Food and local vendors
• Community organizations and resources
• Volunteer opportunities
• A community donation drive
Whether you're coming to perform, swim, support a local business, meet new people, or simply enjoy the afternoon, there's a place for you at Community Cookout.
GIVING BACK
Giving back is at the heart of this event.
Guests are encouraged to contribute essential items that can support individuals experiencing homelessness, including:
• Canned food
• New socks
• Hygiene kits
• Blankets
• Toiletries
• Other essential items
Every contribution helps us extend the impact of Community Cookout beyond the pool.
BUILDING COMMUNITY AT TEMPLE HILLS
Community Cookout is also part of a larger vision for Temple Hills Swim Club.
We want the pool to be more than somewhere people come to swim. We see an opportunity for Temple Hills Swim Club to become a gathering place where families, creatives, entrepreneurs, organizations, and community members can connect, exchange ideas, and create meaningful experiences together.
Community Cookout is one step toward demonstrating what's possible when we open the space to the community and build together.
